Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using TeamShuffler, you agree to these Terms.

1. About TeamShuffler

TeamShuffler ("TeamShuffler", "we", "us", or "our") provides browser-based tools for creating random teams, selecting names, assigning random numbers, creating Secret Santa matches, and related organizational tasks. You may contact us at contact@teamshuffler.com.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement to create an account or purchase Pro. If you use TeamShuffler for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization. You must provide accurate information, protect your login credentials, and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorized account use.

3. Free and Pro services

Some features are available without payment. Other features require an active Pro subscription. Current features and pricing are shown on our Pricing page. We may improve, replace, or discontinue features, provided that we do not remove a paid user's access contrary to applicable law.

4. Subscription, renewal, and payment

• Pro is billed in advance at the price and billing interval displayed before checkout.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Your use of Stripe's checkout or customer portal may also be subject to Stripe's terms and privacy practices.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel it before the renewal date.
• You authorize us and Stripe to charge the payment method on file for subscription fees and applicable taxes.
• If payment fails, we may retry payment and suspend or end Pro access.

5. Cancellation and no-refund policy

You may cancel through your TeamShuffler account or Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation stops future renewal; Pro access normally continues until the end of the billing period already paid for.

All subscription payments are final and non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused time, accidental purchases, failure to cancel before renewal, or dissatisfaction with the service. Before purchasing, you should review the Pro features and billing amount displayed at checkout.

This no-refund policy does not exclude any refund, cancellation right, remedy, or other consumer protection that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law. If the service is materially defective or a charge was unauthorized, contact us at contact@teamshuffler.com.

6. Acceptable use

You must not misuse TeamShuffler. In particular, you must not:

• break any law or infringe another person's rights;
• upload content you are not authorized to use;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or paid features;
• introduce malicious code, overload the service, scrape it excessively, or interfere with its operation;
• reverse engineer or copy the service except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
• use generated results for unlawful discrimination, harassment, harm, or decisions requiring professional judgment.

7. Names, lists, and generated results

You are responsible for the names, files, rules, and other information you enter and for having any consent or lawful basis required to use that information. Randomized results are provided as organizational aids. You are responsible for reviewing results and deciding whether they are appropriate for your situation.

8. Intellectual property

TeamShuffler, including its design, software, branding, and original content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service for its intended purpose. You retain rights in information you lawfully submit.

9. Availability and disclaimers

We aim to keep TeamShuffler useful and available, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without implied guarantees beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. TeamShuffler does not provide legal, employment, educational, financial, or professional advice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunity arising from use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability relating to the paid service will not exceed the subscription fees you paid to TeamShuffler during the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that applicable law does not allow us to limit.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, respond to legal requirements, address non-payment, or enforce these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time. Sections intended by their nature to survive termination will continue to apply.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the service, law, or business practices. We will post the revised Terms and update the effective date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice. Continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance, except where applicable law requires express consent.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Courts in Malaysia will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer right to bring a claim in another competent forum.

14. General terms

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our written consent. These Terms constitute the agreement between you and TeamShuffler regarding use of the service, together with any additional terms presented at checkout.
